IBDP camp for parents

Getting to know the IB better!

The IBDP camp organized on 28 October 2017 was an exciting opportunity for the Diploma parents to get a better understanding of the Diploma programme and partner in their child's IB journey.  The camp was designed to ensure that parents understand the needs and requirements of the Diploma programme.

The technicalities of the Diploma programme was unfolded through various activities. Development of skills is an important part of the Diploma programme and parents learned the process of research and design thinking process that their child goes through. For a day, there was role reversal and parents were active participants in a classroom scenario. A session on stress management covered simple ways to help children deal with stress and how to prioritize.
University placement is an important milestone in the lives of a diploma student. A session with the college counselor was incorporated to ensure that parents understand the requirements of the Universities and the entire process of University selection.
The library is a second home to the Diploma students and parents were given an opportunity to go through the various resources available in the library and also had a session on how to access these resources. The sessions were extremely interactive and parents participated in all the activities enthusiastically.

At the end of the camp, parents felt more confident as IB parents!
