Objective: The main objective of the transition programme is to facilitate smooth transition of D1 students coming from different curriculums into the Diploma programme. It is a bridge course which helps in preparing the students to do well in the Diploma programme.

Learning objectives:

• Develop skills required to excel in the Diploma programme
• Adapting to the host country culture and new school environment
• Concepts and conceptual understanding
• Learning for life- Approaches to Learning
• A clear understanding of the Core components (EE, TOK and CAS)
• Preparation for University placements
• Leadership competencies required to prepare students for life

Module 4	New addition for next session Sept	Advisory	Are we different	Students will work in small groups to look at the similarities and difference between their cultures and the host cultures Understand differences and point-of-views.
Module 5	Sept	PSD	Understanding the school culture	Sharing experiences of old students
Module 6	Sept	Advisory	My apprehensions and fear	Students share their fears about settling in Stonehill’s cultural and academic environment.
Module 7	Sept	PSD	Group sessions	Individual and group sessions based on the data collected in module 6. Students will be provided help for concerns raised by them. This could be homework pressure, collaboration, peer pressure. Missing old friends etc
